Damage Assessments Underway Following Devastating Oklahoma Storms

Cleanup is underway in Oklahoma after several tornadoes left behind a path of destruction. At least seven tornadoes touched down last night, damaging homes, businesses, and power lines. 

One of the hard hit areas was Norman, where the city reported a number of homes and businesses damaged. 12 people were treated for injuries at hospitals Multiple roadways remained closed this morning with debris and downed power lines. Washington and Reagan Elementary Schools in Norman were closed today.

Also impacted by the storms was an airport in the town of Goldsby, where multiple aircrafts were damaged and the roofs of hangars were ripped off. 

Damage was also reported in Enid, Shawnee, Cheyenne and in parts of Oklahoma City.

At one point more than 75,000 utility customers were without power across the state.
