Suspect In Disappearance Of Child Says Husband Killed Her

Affidavits claim a woman arrested in connection to the disappearance of a four-year-old child in Oklahoma says her husband killed her last month. Alysia Adams has reportedly told investigators that Ivon Adams beat Athena Brownfield on Christmas Day to the point that she stopped moving, then buried her near a fence line in Grady County. Brownfield was reported missing on January 10th when a mail carrier found her five-year-old sister outside of a home in Cyirl. Authorities said the suspects had been acting as caregivers for the children for almost two years, but never took them to the doctor or enrolled the five-year-old in school. Both are charged with child neglect, but Ivon Adams is also charged with first-degree murder.
